Consider the miracle of sight and all of the wonders that it affords us to behold.
The gift of sight that our father God has given us is certainly at the top of the list for the most important one. Yet because of our foolish lifestyle at times and ignorance of what can harm our site, we can lose that precious gift.
In the book of Matthew, the sixth chapter relates with Jesus' teachers about the eye how it allows light to come into the whole body.
Just think about the eye that is the window to the soul. Is it any wonder that the enemy of our life has perverted our eyes in this society to take in so much evil and bondage.
A little song from my childhood in church said it this way.
"Oh, be careful little eyes; what you see for the father up above is looking down in love, so be careful little eyes what you see."
God has given you two eyes to look with, but they must work together as a team for them to function correctly. If one eye decides to do its own thing, it throws the whole body into confusion.
So it is in the body of Christ and the relationships that we have in life. When we walk together in unity of spirit and purpose, so much can get done that would be impossible before.
The story out of the Old Testament about the tower of babel when God confused their language so they couldn't accomplish what they had in mind to build.
God said if I had left them alone, they could've accomplished anything they put their mind to.
Think about it.

Why is it when a wealthy man dies, especially if they're young, people tend to say how sad look what he lost? Or how about the young starlet ascending the charts of popularity suddenly has an accident and loses everything. We think to ourselves, what a shame they had so much to live for.
When a young mother and father have their first child, they have sex dreams and aspirations for that child. No sacrifice is too much so that they might give advantage to their unique child so that they may succeed.
Then we have special schools like Julie art in New York City that only receive those special children with exceptional talents. After all, they say it would be a shame to waste such great talent.
Have you ever considered your heavenly father as he watches our lives, knowing that we have great potential and yet seeing us fall so short of the mark? Our father God has put within us the ability to do precisely what he has the ability to do on this earth because of Jesus.
When it comes right down to the bare facts, sin is simply missing the mark and the potential that God had in store for you.
But preacher, is there any hope for me? How can I possibly do what God wants me to do and be?
In reality, we have an effortless life as a Christian. We believe we love, and we let him lead. When we do, we will get our dance partner back again and be in step to fulfill our destiny.

To understand the power and scope of the gospel is to understand the heart and the love of our father, God. As in any relationship, time and experience are part of the tools you need to discover the depth of that experience.
The apostle Paul said this: "when I was a child, I speak as a child, but when I need you, I put away childish things."
Think for a moment about your salvation when you first experienced it. You knew that Jesus loves you, your sins were forgiven, and someday you would go to heaven.
Now years later, and I multiplied layer of experiences you've had with God the Father, your understanding of the heavenly things has exploded.
Now get ready for a greater expansion yet in the knowledge that God is downloading into the body of Christ, which you are a vital part of.
Paul told us in the Scriptures that the revelation of Jesus Christ and his kingdom would be exceedingly abundantly beyond what we could ask or think.
So let me tell you where faith begins.
Faith begins when you have exhausted your imagination and stepped into the mysteries that have yet to be revealed.

Several years ago, I found a unique tool in the hock shop, and I bought it for five dollars. It is the coolest little tool to plant tulip bulbs with. I love tulips, so I brought it home with much excitement to show Arlis.
However, time slipped by, and I hung my little tool next to the other tools in my shop.
Every summer that went by, I stood on my front porch, looked at my front yard, and said we got to plant some tulips. But the little tool still hung on its hook in the shop.
This year it finally happened. My daughter Tiffany bought us a beautiful container of tulips. Inspired by her generous gift, I got my tool out and started using it.
It was amazing how simple and easy this tool was to use. In a short amount of time, I had all the tulip bulbs in the ground arranged so that when they came up, I could see them from my front porch.
No, let me ask you a question.
What kind of lovely flowers am I going to see next season? Why tulips, of course.
And you're already ahead of me because you know that God promised that everything would come after its kind.
Give, and it shall be given unto you press down shaken together and running over will men give back to your bosom for with the same measure you measure out that she'll be measured back to you again.

Have you ever heard the term "people vote with their feet?" Or how about the other one, "action is stronger than words?" Hey, here's another good one. "Put your money where your mouth is."
Well, all of that to say that many Christians are talking about fellowship with the father in prayer, but it seems like a lot of talk but no action.
I've often thought that if someone sent me a note and said there's $1 million waiting for you at the bank, all you have to do is get off the couch and get it; I think I would do it.
Why would I?
Because I was motivated enough with the desire to break out of my form and get uncomfortable because I saw an opportunity to get something that I highly valued.
If faith, desire, and hunger are working in our hearts, we will break the habits we have formed to be in his presence.
We have been invited into the holy of holy's to fellowship with the god of all creation, the Lord of a host. He has made us able by the new creation that we can have a face-to-face relationship with him.

Why do the birds sing on a gray, cold day? Because no one or anything can hold back the pressure of praise that comes out of the God-created universe. The reservoir of glory placed into the creation hast to have an escape, and the vehicle used is praise to the most high God.
Much of the Christian church has dumbed down praise and shaped it to fit into a convenient timeframe for our church services. The small amount of glory expressed through the general singing and music time is just a dribble of what is coming out of God's creation.
In the book of Luke, when Jesus descended into the crowd, they began to worship and say glory to God in the highest. When the Pharisees criticized them, Jesus said if you stop those worshiping, worship will come out of the stones lying around on the ground.
Everything that God has created has his DNA impressed; whether it be the human, the animal, or the stone, it's all God.
God intended for humankind to release that worship into the atmosphere and fill the earth with his glory. Because the children he has created have not fulfilled that task, the birds sing to him on a cold gray day because they release the glory that God put in them.

Faith comes by hearing. OK, what exactly are we looking for that will build our faith when we hear it. I know the scripture says that we should hear the word of God.
My question to you is that just the Bible or is there more of the word of God outside of the Bible also?
Whoa, hold everything there, a preacher. Are you telling me God speaks to people outside of the Bible? As a matter of fact, I am. Didn't Paul tell us that even nature speaks to us of God?
OK, OK, I get it. I see it now that there are things outside of the Bible that speak to us, and when they do, our faith increases.
Take, for instance, a testimony of victory given to you by someone you know. What does that do for your faith? It also increases your ability to believe that God would do it for you.
Look at the custom of the early Israelites as they marked the spot a battle was won by stacking a pile of stones there to remind everyone of the victory. So that when they walk by with their children, they would repeat the story of the triumph, therefore, building faith in the heart of the next generation.
As I sit down to speak to you today, the spirit of the Lord said, "shake it up, baby."
When I heard those words, my faith leaped forward, knowing that he was telling me that he could change our circumstances wholly and suddenly.
So rejoice as we enter these days, knowing that God has a plan that will not fail.

"Why is there air?"
If you're old enough, you would remember that a famous comedian made a lot of money off of that comic line. The crowd would roar with laughter, yet each of those laughing was asking some of the same questions about their life and its purpose.
Unless a person understands their purpose in life, they will most likely flounder and allow a sense of failure to follow them.
Years ago, a well-known pastor wrote two books; one of them was a purpose-driven life the second was a purpose-driven church. Needless to say, he's sold a lot of books, and I even bought one for the church. I was curious to see if I was purpose-driven as a pastor.
I discovered that his purpose was different from mine because I had a particular call that God had given me. I found that we were purpose-driven yet with individual targets in our lives and ministry.
So to answer the question, why is there air. Let me see it simply God has given us air so that we may fulfill His will while we are here on this earth.
The goal for all of us is that someday he will say to us well done, done good and faithful servant, enter into the joys of your Lord.

The power of focus. What a wonderful gift that God has given to us that we may succeed in our mission in life. Yet many miss the target because they feel to use the gift of focus.
The story is told of a seafaring man who found himself in the middle of the ocean after his boat had sunk. Somehow through a miracle, he swam all night until he was rescued.
Those that rescued him were amazed that he could swim so long; they asked him how he did it. He told them that he saw a picture of his mother out ahead of him, bidding him continue, and he did. He had focused on one goal: if I could swim to my mother, I would be safe.
Take the illustration of Peter in the boat with the other disciples when Jesus invited him to come. As long as he was focused on Jesus, he was walking on water.
However, when his focused changed to storm again, he sank beneath the waves.
No wonder the Scriptures tell us to keep our eyes on Jesus and meditate upon the word day and night.
Keep focused dear friends; we have a job to complete.

BOOM! BOOM! And everyone looked to the sky to find the jet airplane that had just broken the sound barrier. It gets everyone's attention because they know something big is happening in the atmosphere above them.
The world around us is filled with so much noise and clutter that we can hardly pay attention to anything else. We call it white noise, noise that we don't listen to; it's just they're filling all the decibels in our hearing range.
However, another sound barrier gets everyone's attention; it's when God speaks to a generation, and he generally does it suddenly.
When the disciples were together in the upper room in the second chapter of Acts, it tells us that suddenly they heard a great sound. It was like a great wind, and it filled the whole room.
I tell you this; God is ready to give us a 'suddenly' experience. And I believe it will fill the whole room and soak up all the white noise the world has been making around us.
When Heaven's voice speaks, there is always a massive change in the world's direction, and you and I have been going. When the disciples experienced this voice from Heaven, their lives were changed forever, and they were endued with power from on high.
