TALKING TO THE LORD IMPROVES EYESIGHT
The subject is enormous and all-encompassing, but the statement is short and to the point.
When you talk to God, your eyesight is improved. It has been proven over and over in the Scriptures that when one of our biblical heroes spent time communicating with the God of heaven, they could then see through their problem to Victory.
Take Samuel, for instance. Just a young boy was living in the courtyards of the temple grounds. In the night, while on his bed, he heard his name called Samuel Samuel.
He arose quickly from his bed, went to Eli, the priest, and asked him if he had called him.
After repeated attempts to find out who was speaking, Eli gave him spiritual direction so that he could follow God'sGod's instructions. Eli got a word from the Lord and told it to Samuel.
If the Lord calls again, this is how you will answer. "speak lord for your servant hearth."
After speaking with Lord Samuel then had a clear vision of what God had in mind for the future of Israel. Not only was his understanding increased, but now he could see far into the future.
How about Peter; after a time of ministering to the people who had gathered, he took time to rest up before he ate lunch. Then God gave him a vision of a sheet being let down full of animals.
Remember that Peter could not see the church's future like he was ready to after talking to the Lord.
God said to Peter, "kill and eat."
Peter said to God, "not me, Lord. I'm a good Jew; we don't eat that."
When Peter and Gold were through talking together, Peter could see down the road. Significant changes were coming to the world and the body of Christ. The Gentiles had been included in the covenant, and Peter didn't see it until he had his conversation with God.
So how about you today? How is your eyesight doing?
Do you think an increase could improve it in your conversations with the father?

So remember what the Scriptures tell us, "the fervent prayers of a righteous person avail of much."

THE ROOT AND THE BRANCH IS LOVE
Love is your invisible inner source, just like the root system of a tree and the foundation of a building. Eph 3:17 m/b
Love is your reservoir of super human strength, which causes you to see everyone equally sanctified in the context of the limitless intent of love's breadth and length and the extremities of its dimensions in depth and height. Eph 3:18 m/b
I desire for you to become intimately acquainted with the love of Christ on the deepest possible level, far beyond the reach of a mere academic intellectual grasp. Within this equation, God finds the ultimate expression of himself in you. Eph 3:19 m/b
I am convinced that the next revolution in our theology, as well as the experience that the church will embrace, is that of love. We have preached about love, written books about love, and told people that we love one another. Yet the evidence is not there.
Jesus said that the evidence of us loving one another would be that the world knew we were one because of our love. Yet, the church is still divided across the board by doctoral disputes, class divisions, and ethnic misunderstandings.
The church's roots, the body of Christ, are founded in love because God is love. It would seem that the revelation of God's love is still an intellectual experience for too many. So for us to move into the purposes of God as a people. The message of love must go from our heads to our hearts, and the Holy Ghost is the only one that can do that.
As much as I want to love you in my emotions, I cannot love you without God's love flowing through me.
Beloved, let us love one another for love is of God; everyone that loves is born of God and knows God. 1 John 4:7

DOORS GOD WILL USE TO REACH YOU
For years I have been intrigued with the mechanics of heaven. If there's anything that I have learned from a young age is that God has a system that can be examined and tapped into.
The evidence is all around us; as Paul stated, even nature declares his glory. Centuries ago, a man by the name of Francis Bacon, who was a believer in the creator of the universe, became the father of science. He discovered in his investigation of nature around him that it is consistent and has a dependable system.
All of our science then is based upon a dependable God who built a reliable universe that we can study to find its mechanics. Actual science is not the investigator's opinion but the discovery of the systematic function of what they study.
And so it is with you and God.
Our father has built within the structure of his world doorways to come into your life so that he may speak directly to you. Because each of us is created as individuals, as they say, one size doesn't fit all. So the father has a lot of options that he uses to reach us.
The scriptures tell us, "as the heavens are above the earth, so God's ways are above our ways."
Just look at the multiple ways God has reached into the lives of those in the Bible.
With Joseph, it was through dreams, and they called him a dreamer.
With Peter, it was a vision as he was in a trance. God spoke to him about the Gentiles coming into the kingdom of God.
Then with the apostle Paul, a bright light stopped him in his tracks as he was determined to destroy the church. Jesus arrested him with a personal visit.
And with Mary, the mother of Jesus, it was an angel that spoke to her about carrying in her womb the Christ child.
Balaam, known to be a false prophet in the old testament, had a donkey talk to him and give him direction.
Moses had a burning bush speak to him that broke him out of the rut he was in so he could fulfill his destiny. Later on, in life, it was thunder and lightning that spoke to him.
So you see, there are many ways that God has that he can speak into your life and change your circumstances and bring your miracle.
So pay attention; he has an entrance into your life that will be perfect for you.

REQUIREMENT FOR SPIRITUAL TRAVEL
Ready set go! And we're off to the races, the spiritual races, that is. It seems that our society is obsessed with competition and aggressively getting ahead of the other guy. If you don't believe that, drive a little while on the American highways and see how many people want to get ahead of you.
So it should be no surprise that we drag that dead carcass of competition into our spiritual journey and expect it to produce good fruit.
Like the old boy said, "God, I want patience, and I want it right now."
However, if we closely inspect the instruction manual, we will immediately notice that God has some requirements for spiritual travel. By that, I mean maturing in our walk with God and developing a relationship with him that fulfills his plans for us.
The Scriptures tell us in proverbs 4:7 that the main thing we must have on this progressive journey into the world of the spirit is wisdom, and with that, her sister, understanding.
But here's the key to that scripture we must know that it is not our wisdom that we accumulate by experience or education. Neither is our understanding that it's talking about that brings us into that place of spiritual maturity.
The wisdom and understanding that the scriptures refer to here are spirits that God created that have been released to the believer for their maturing and success.
In the book of proverbs 4:3, we are instructed that we should not lean or depend on our understanding, but we are to trust him with all that makes us who we are; our heart.
We tend to collect things along the way called weights, and they easily distract and slow us down. Those things make up what we understand in life and our spiritual journey, and we are challenged not to rely on that.
So you ask how do we receive the spirit of wisdom and the spirit of understanding.
Here it is in condensed form.
Love the Lord thy God with all my heart, soul, and mind, and he will give you.
Notice who the giver is.
My only requirement is to be the receiver.

WHEN THE WHISTLE BLOWS
A few days ago, I had lunch with two pastor friends at the mill city Café in Longview, Washington. After lunch, I decided to stroll down Main Street and take in the sights. I have been in and out of Longview most of my life, with some connection to ministry and churches in town.
My earliest memories of this small northwestern town were when dad and mother preached in one of the pioneer churches in town. Later, I came as a single evangelist and returned later as a married one. I held my most protracted revival meeting in this town for six weeks of powerful encounters with God.
However, even though I had all this history, I had never walked down Main Street and taken in the town's atmosphere. It wasn't long before I came upon an iconic past memorial.
As I began to read the history of this town, I noticed I was standing in front of an enormous steam whistle. As the story unfolded, I found that this steam whistle was on top of the largest sawmill in the nation in the 1930s. I also discovered that a man named R A Long had financed and built the only entire city in the 20th century in the United States, and they called it Longview.
I was impressed; then I read about the whistle I was looking at.
This whistle was powered by steam and was so loud it could be heard for 25 miles.
The sound of this monster whistle signaled when each shift of the largest saw Mill in the nation would change. And when it did, everyone within a range of 25 miles knew it.
Standing in front of that iconic whistle, I suddenly felt small compared to the history whirling around me. I was standing in the middle of the town; most people didn't know it was there, yet it changed the course of history for this entire region and generations of families that worked in its great sawmill.
And in the middle of it all was this larger-than-life brass steam whistle that controlled at all.
As I stood there, I was reminded of the Holy Spirit's witness in each of us. God has a whistle that goes off at various times in our daily life, telling us it's time for a shift change.
Now here's a secret most people don't understand about that whistle; when it goes off, everybody around us knows it.
When it's time for a change, it affects everyone around us.
Stay sensitive, my friends; God is blowing his whistle inside your spirits.

FAITH ACTIVATES YOUR GENIUS
Why should I wash my car if it's just going to rain again? After all, I live on a muddy road, and when it rains, there is mud everywhere.
Why should I mow my lawn? The grass will grow again, and it's just a waste of time. And I've got better things to do.
Why should I paint my house? I'll have to do it again someday. Besides, what spiritual purpose is there in my life for painting my house? These things all pass away.
Why should I get involved in my community and its political affairs? My preacher told me to leave that alone because it's all going to burn up someday.
Why should I have children? It seems cruel to bring them into such a decaying dying world. After all, Jesus is coming any day now, so I have to prepare for that to happen. I don't have time for anything else.
So here I sit in my front room, waiting for the rapture bus complaining about the world around me that has been taken over by humanism and godless philosophies. If only Jesus would come and I could get out of here, I'd be happy.
You have just been listening to the inner conversation of a Christian who has never understood why God put him on earth. He has an undeveloped revelation of the kingdom of God and why God gave you the genius of heaven to shape history.
In the past, the most significant inventions, Scientific discovery, musical creations, and human development, had one thing in common. Those historical inventors, creators, artists, and musicians were Christians that believed God had given them genius for a purpose. They visualized a world to be conquered by the message of Christ and the rule of love.
Their faith in their Creator released the genius in their spirit, and we have enjoyed their gift to us generation after generation.
Let your faith in the future release the genius in your spirit so that God's gifts can enrich your future generations.

BEYOND HUMAN LANGUAGE
Among the many marvelous gifts that God gave us as humans is the ability to communicate with each other. A common language is the main thing that bonds people into a community or nation. When we lose our ability to understand each other's speech, we lose that thing that makes us one.
The most outstanding example is the story of the tower of babel. The people endeavored to go into a spiritual realm where they were not invited.
God could've stopped them in many ways, but he chose the one that broke them into small groups. He confused their language so that they couldn't communicate together.
The apostle Paul talks about the tongue of men and Angels, which indicates that there is a different language for men and a different language for Angels.
Paul also speaks of that in second Corinthians 12:4, where he talks about "a person that was caught up into paradise; the third heaven. There he heard words that could not be articulated in human language, and he understood a conversation that did not originate in human thought."
So how do we achieve and understand a language beyond ourselves? Again Paul refers to a heavenly speech given to us by the Holy Spirit.
It's commonly referred to as speaking in other tongues.
It is a language beyond humans.
In the book of acts, in the second chapter, we see the day of Pentecost, where the Holy Spirit invaded the upper room and filled each one there with the power of heaven. It was there that heavenly language was released so that we could communicate to the spiritual world about spiritual things.
First Corinthians 12 reveals that we speak to God when we use that heavenly language and when we do, we speak mysteries.
But it doesn't stop there. He explains that we have a gift from God called the interpretation of tongues. Now, how great is that?

HOW MUCH IS ENOUGH?
When you say to the Lord, give me, give me, you're really saying I don't believe you. Because he has already said I am giving you all things richly to enjoy; you have it already.
Hold everything, preacher; what about prayer? How can I pray to God if I'm not asking him for something?
That is a general thought among many Christian communities that prayer is only for asking for things. Many in the body of Christ come into the prayer closet with a list of requests, and after they deliver that request, they usually leave the closet. Then they wait to see if their faith is strong enough to convince heaven that they really need the things they asked for.
When we understand that he has given us all things richly to enjoy, prayer becomes a relational fellowship with our heavenly father.
If you know how big business and entertainment work, most deals are done on the golf course or at the club party. Relationships are cemented in that environment, and deals are made out of that.
Why would it be any different in the spiritual world with our heavenly father? After all, the scriptures tell us that if we draw nigh to God, he will draw nigh to us.
That sounds to me like a relationship that is building a bond between two people. We know God loves us but do we love his company and friendship enough to hang out with him in the quiet places of prayer?
In the intimacy of the prayer closet in the quiet times of meditation, our father begins to speak to us about the mysteries of heaven. As that conversation continues, the things that we had planned and asked for begin to come our way because our father knows all of our desires.
He has provided all things for you that you may receive them with lavish Joy. Your position is one of receiving what he has provided. The sign of an open heart is the sound of worship and praise, thanking him in advance for what he is giving.

CASTING YOUR CARES ON JESUS= PEACE
I find it hard to understand why I have to encourage those who believe in Jesus to cast their care on him. It seems that your faith in the saving power of Jesus would also translate into the keeping power of Jesus. So I wonder why?
Just about the time I'm wondering, I suddenly notice that I have picked up something that feels like care or a worry. How did that happen? After all, I'm an elder in the kingdom of God with years of experience of trust in Jesus. Yet I discovered that I'm carrying anxiety or care troubling me.
It's them that I remember we have those things that resist us in the area of our soul. I'm quick to remember that the devil is not my only opposer; I also have a mind that needs to reflect the mind of Christ.
I'm also reminded that Paul said he died daily to certain things in his walk with the Lord. Those things that Paul died two are the gateways for care and anxiety to enter into our minds and our emotions.
So the question you ask is this; do I have to bury my head in the sand and be cut off from the world around me not to have anxiety and care?
Jesus answered that when he said you are in the world, don't be a part of the world. For you and I that have opened our Spirit to Jesus Christ, we have been given a filter, and if we keep that in place, it will filter out the things from the world that would cause us anxiety.
For instance, when you hear a news report full of doom and fear concerning the future of our nation. Or you hear a description of the latest prediction of a new disease that just came out. If the filter of the word of God is secure in your soul, you will not panic; you will not have fear and anxiety, but faith will arise in your Spirit.
So today, as I detected the invasion of my world with anxiety, I readjusted the filter that God has given me and visited all the corners of my spiritual domain to examine my faith in the unmovable word of God.

IT'S THE LITTLE SHIPS WE'RE RESPONSIBLE FOR
I never had an older brother, and I was the youngest in the family, so my sense of responsibility didn't come to me naturally. I learned it the hard way by the hand of authority—i.e., mom and dad.
Human nature tends to be self-centered; that's why we currently have the "me generation" that we're dealing with. Those that have been alive for the last 30 or 40 years in America have not suffered the same as the generation that lived before them. Of course, I know individuals who have been through severe difficulties.
Trials and difficulties seem to bring something out of our inner character that, in the long run, shapes us into better people. The old saying goes, "it'll either make you or break you." Even Jesus told us that we would have problems and trials in life. I'm sure this is why the Apostle John said to us that we should rejoice when trials come our way because it builds us into the people God called us to be with good character.
And people of good character always look out for the little guy, the one they're responsible for. The father, who gets up early every morning and works all day, goes to bed tired just so his children can have a better life.
The single mother who raises her children on two jobs believes their lives will be improved someday.
These people have been in the storm, and yet we're conscious of the little ships in their life that also needed to be rescued.
Just like the example that Jesus gave us when he calmed the storm. The scripture says that there were also other little ships with him. If Jesus had gone down, all those little ships would've sunk.
Our faith and faithfulness to what God has called us to be as important to someone close around us where God planted us to prosper.
Be faithful to your call, and you will have a great reward.
