You are God's address, the place where he abides.
When Jesus told his disciples that he was going away to make a place for them where he was, they would also be, that place he made for us was not "a mansion over the hilltop in our home in the sky in the sweet by and by."
Jesus went into the Father's presence with his blood and presented the Father with the ransom for every man and woman that ever came into this earth through the womb.
That mansion over the hilltop that we sing about in our human understanding is a spiritual dwelling place He made in the hearts of men and women.
Because of the cross of the resurrection, God was able to move into temples made without hands, you and I.
In John 17, Jesus said Father make them one just like you, and I are one.
Because of Grace's work on the cross and by the resurrection power, he made it possible to be one with God, dwelling together in that spiritual mansion.
With that revelation hitting our understanding, what are we to do with it?
When we understand what it means to have Christ in us, the hope of glory brings health and peace to our body, soul, and spirit.
We see a glimpse of that lifestyle in Ephesians 317.
That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith that she is rooted and grounded in love may be able to comprehend with All Saints what is the breadth and length and depth and height and to know the love of Christ which passive knowledge that she might be filled with all the fullness of God.

The mind that our creator gave us is beyond our comprehension of its power and its ability to control life in our future. That wonderful scripture in Philippians four, the eighth verse, gives us a list of things to think about. Is this a form of mind control, or is it the principles of life God has given us so that we might live in peace and health?
That list of things to sink on includes purity, honesty good reports. What is that all the mind is to focus on? No, I don't think so. Those instructions that Paul gave us for our mind to focus on have to do with the human side of life.
The real power in our mind is on the spiritual side because it brings us to Christ.
Paul tells us in the book of Ephesians that we are to be renewed in our innermost minds, which is the spirit of your mind.
We have been taught over the years that we need to get the truth of God's word from our minds and drop it down into our hearts. However, I believe it's the other way around.
The revelation of Jesus Christ starts in the heart and captivates the thinking.
The essence of repentance, including the root word of repent, means to have a change of mind.
So the apostle Paul tells us in Philippians two and five, let this mind be in you that was also in Christ Jesus.
Jesus knew exactly where he came from, who he was, and what his purpose on earth was.
Think about it; folks, let this mind be in you.
Know where you came from, why you're here and where you're going.

Years ago, when I was a team pastor in a great church in Southern California. I was the lead pastor for the evangelism team that went out to visit and witness those who came to visit our church. One day my secretary came to me and said Pastor, look at this address; we can't get there from here.
Well, after I explained to her that those dear people got from their house to the church so surely, we could find their house.
We got a good laugh out of that, but later I began to think about the seriousness of the statement; you can't get there from here.
Have you ever heard someone say; I can't get into that?
In other words, there's no doorway for me to go through so I can get into or understand the subject at hand.
Psalms 23 is one of those doorways that allows us to get into the world where God dwells. In this world, we can see and hear clearly and learn all about love in God's world and how God never stops loving us.
Of all the questions I've been asked repeatedly, I suppose the most repeated one is; Pastor, how can I get into God?
Come along with me for a few moments as we journey through Psalm 23. You'll be amazed at how many doorways there are into the things God has prepared for you.

Is there a father in the house?
A statement was made that caught my eye this past week. It was from a prominent man that I have confidence that he knows his business and the society we live in.
He said the central problem in the United States and possibly other Western nations is the absence of fathers in the home. When the presence and influence of a father are missing from the home, the children are affected in so many different ways.
A survey of the prison population will tell you that a vast percentage of the men in prison for crimes they have committed had no father influence in their life. There is something about the hand of the father on a child that not only gives them guidance for life but also puts a governor on childhood rebellion.
I am keenly aware of the single-parent situation in our nation, especially for mothers raising their children alone. We pray for our single mothers; we love them and support them in every way we can.
But the pattern that God made is male and female, which makes the family unit.
Change the law, pervert society, ignore the principles of God, and all you get is chaos and trouble. As someone said, you can put a rat in a cookie jar that doesn't make him a cookie.
So what's the answer?
We need the spirit of fatherhood to return to our society and our churches. God has a way of restoration; He knows how to bring back what was lost.
If you're a father, ask God to make you the best one you could ever be. Ask for wisdom every day on all the little things you do to raise your children.
If you are a pastor, male or female, you have the father position in the house. You have the steady hand and the wise answer that gives peace to the children. You are not lord and master; you are filling the place God gave you, representing the fatherhood of God Himself.
Just because God is our Father doesn't make Him a dictator because pure love always makes way for healing and success.
Is there a father in the house? I say yes, and I call them to rise and be what God has called you to be.

Our worth is defined by His gift.
Imagine with me for a moment that we are much more valuable to God than we have ever considered. Our understanding of the subject of pride needs to be re-interpreted to us. We know pride comes before destruction and a hottie spirit before a fall. We've had that preached to us enough or maybe too much to where we have no pride in who we are or what God made us.
Imagine then how God thinks about us and what value he puts on you and me.
Our value to God is directly connected to the price he paid to redeem us back from the prison that we had lived in since the fall of man.
When Jesus was teaching about the Kingdom in the book of Matthew 13, he said there was a man who found a great treasure in the field, and he sold all that he had to purchase the field.
Then in the 45th first, there was some man who found a pearl of great price and sold all he had to purchase the pearl.
This is directly connected to John 316 we're god so loved the world that he gave the only son that he we begot or birthed. These scriptures concerning the Kingdom of God, which you and I are a part of, tell us that God sold everything he had, his most precious treasure, to redeem us back to himself.
Remember this next time the dark cloud of depression drifts over your head, and you begin to think about how unworthy you are to be a son or daughter of God. Remember the price that your heavenly father paid to redeem you and bring you back into the complete restoration of your sonship and membership in the Kingdom of God.
Remember also; it was the mercy of God that forgave you and the grace of God that empowers you.
Rejoice; you are the treasure he found and the pearl he redeemed.

Our father in heaven- the pattern.
Jesus told the people he was speaking to that he did nothing but what he saw the father do. That's a very interesting statement; it is also life-giving because it is a law of life and is active in our life whether we know it or not. On the natural side of things, you end up doing what you see your father do.
You could put that statement in the category of "the sins of the fathers."
However, because of the cross and resurrection and holy spirit importation, we have been given a new blood system that carries the DNA of our heavenly father.
Therefore we are new creatures in Christ Jesus, and all things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
What's new?
Because we have been made into his likeness, we know I have the same father.
Some of the old things that have passed away are the generational curses our forefathers passed on to us because of the fall.
Now because of our faith in Christ, we have a new generational line that goes directly to the father's heart because we have come out of his bosom.
What does that mean in real-time? I can do the same thing Jesus does. As a matter of fact, that's exactly what he told us to do after the Holy Spirit came. We are to ask the father largely.
Why can we do that? Because our heavenly father will give us all things richly to enjoy.
And like he did to Jesus in John 5:20, he will show us all things also.
This is Father's Day weekend in our nation, and I am reminded again that my pattern as a father is to be like my heavenly father to my children. Throughout my child-rearing, I was conscious of making my decisions and judgments about my children as my heavenly father would.
If you have bitter memories of a father who did not understand you or did not know the love of a heavenly father. I encourage you to release that to the Lord and remember those things are buried and gone because you were new in Christ Jesus.
You have a heavenly father who cherishes and cares for you and tenderly guides you into all truth. So rejoice in this happy Father's Day.

No more memory of sin. What! Can that even be possible? I thought I was just an old sinner saved by grace. Well, yes, that's true. I was a sinner, and God's grace has cleansed me and made me into a son of God.
So why do so many pulpits keep trying to drag me back into the memory and guilt of my past life? Why am I conscience of sin if the scripture says I am free from it?
Do you want to help me out here? Take a guess at it?
When I started preaching that you didn't have to send every day, it was a startling revelation to most of those who heard me, including myself. I was raised in an excellent Christian preacher's Home. Yet the culture I was raised in, I had to repent of my sins every night before going to bed. So that taught me that I was still an active sinner in jeopardy of going to hell every day.
The common prayer for children at bedtime goes something like this:
Now I lay me down to sleep, Lord, I pray my soul to keep, and if I die before I wake, Lord, I pray my soul to take.
What does that make you think of when you hear that prayer. Here's a little kid that doesn't know if he's going to go to heaven, so every night, he's got to re-repent and check everything out to make sure he's still right with God.
It's no wonder the body of Christ is so nervous and fearful about their place in God's family.
It takes God's faith to believe what God says about you. The scriptures tell us that because of the cross and the resurrection of Jesus Christ, sin no longer has dominion over us. So, in conclusion: you don't have to sin every day.
Check your inheritance out; you may be shocked by who you are and what family you belong to.

A fence around the people's house. When I heard that spoken into my spirit, I was instantly taken to two pictures.
The first picture I saw was of our capital in Washington DC, surrounded by barbed wire and Constantine wire. This is the people's house to be accessed by ordinary folk like you and me. This is where we can come to for help in the time of need and wisdom and guidance. Yet those inside the people's house have taken authority over and away from the people and told them they could not enter anymore. Essentially, they say we will do your thinking and tell you how to live.
And then, the second picture came to me because God speaks through natural things and gives spiritual direction and wisdom. This picture is of the church, the body of Christ, or we might see the people's house.
In many ways, some of the same things are happening in this "people's house" as in Washington DC. The leaders in charge have subliminally and sometimes, on purpose, put up a fence that keeps the people in their place so that leadership can stay in control.
We are not talking about the inner workings or function of a church organization or building. We know that any organization must have someone who gives directions or orders and sets the pace, and that's only normal in the function of any healthy, sound organization.
What I'm referring to today is the revelation that comes from the father, which should go directly to the Saint who has the Holy Spirit in him to teach them.
Unfortunately, the body of Christ has been trained to sit in the pew and be taught by someone who supposedly has gone to the Lord to hear. To me, that sounds like the old testament covenant, and that sounds like Moses when he brought down the 10 Commandments from the mountain.
In the New Testament covenant, we've been invited to go to the mountain in here God for ourselves. But can I be trusted to hear God correctly without a seminary education?
I think God thinks so because the scriptures tell us that he chooses people that are unlikely to be selected by those in charge of the group.
So what's the word today.
You have been invited into the holy of holies by the blood of Jesus Christ so that you can have a face-to-face relationship with her father. And when you do, you will receive direct instruction, direction, encouragement, and purpose from his lips.
Does that make the educated leaders nervous? You better believe it.
That's what Jesus came to set us free from, folks.

"I once was lost, but now I'm found, was blind, but now I see."
As I read those words, I can hear the song and remember the teachings of my early youth; the God I love so much is in the recovery business.
Because Jesus became God's face and voice on earth, we know exactly how our heavenly father feels about us and what his purpose is for mankind. Jesus came to save and recover those lost through the fall of man in the garden of Eden.
The great divide occurred when Adam rebelled and broke the covenant with his maker. From that point until the cross and resurrection, mankind was separated from God and could not communicate with him. Israel was chosen to be the carrier of the seed of heaven that would produce Jesus Christ. God had a plan to recover all.
God is in the recovery business.
Jesus gave a parable of the lost coin, the lost sheep, and the lost son. All of these examples were a snapshot of the heart and nature of his father in heaven.
The essence of the gospel of Christ is found in John 3:16. It doesn't get any simpler or more straightforward than the statement made here.
"for god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that who so ever believe it in him should not perish but have everlasting life."
God, our father, is in the business of recovering things, and he's good at it.
Also, cast the care of anything lost in your life and ask the father to bring it home. He loves to do his job.

The Heavenly Highway Patrol.
I had a dream last night, and in it were several mid-60s Chryslers. Painted on their doors in black-and-white, it said Highway Patrol. The 60 Chrysler was a beautiful machine. Mean looking with the biggest engine on the road. That's why the highway patrol had adopted them to perform their duties.
In the dream, these patrol cars were moving in and out of the traffic in the town, dealing with the business at hand and bringing peace where there was trouble.
When I asked the Lord what that meant, he said the patrol cars represented the angels of God that move in and out of our lives, bringing peace and safety to us.
In Psalms 23, we are introduced by name to two of those angels. Goodness and mercy.
These two have only been will follow you all the days of your life.
Just think about them as God's Heavenly highway patrol.
When God said he would never leave or forsake us, that also included Heaven's host of angels that will never leave us.
So tonight, as you rest your head on your pillow and hear the sound of a big
Hemmi Chrysler engine. Let that be a reminder to pay attention to the angels on duty in your room as you sleep and your day as you work.
My favorite anchor scripture for this is Psalms 91:11. God promised that he gave his angels charge over us to keep us in all of our ways.
Sleep on that.
