HIDDEN BUT NOT HIDDEN
Here's a thought for you to chew on today while you're meditating upon the good things of God. Colossians three opens up the thought of being crucified with Christ, risen with Christ, and raining and ruling with Christ.
The third verse of that chapter talks about being hidden in Christ with God. What could it mean to be hidden in Christ? I recall a child playing hide and seek, and someone would bury their face and count to 50, and all the other kids would find a place to hide. If you were clever, you could fool everybody, and nobody would ever find you.
We had a birthday party for one of my sons, and they played hide and seek. One young man went into the backyard, claimed a tree, and spent the entire party in the tree. He was so hidden everybody thought he had gone home.
Could we become so hidden in Christ that the devil can't find us or even see who we are? Every time we show up, he sees Jesus show up, and he always knows how that works for him, which is not good.
No, if you're playing hide and seek at that children's game and you make noises, you will be found. So it is when we're hidden in Christ that if we make noises like an unredeemed person and have a language that reveals our fears instead of our faith, Satan will find us.
It's my understanding if you can keep your mouth closed until you learn to talk, how Jesus talks, you can stay hidden and safe in his protection.

AFTER THE VICTORY LEARN TO GOVERN
If you're a student of the old testament, would you be if you have read it, you will notice the children of Israel had a hard time staying faithful to God's law.
Just about the time they had victory won a battle and conquered a nation, they would blow it by starting to worship other gods.
What is it about human nature that has a hard time walking in a straight line and staying true to what they know to be good for them? We could call that sinful nature, and that rebel in our heart wants to do its own thing.
When we get our feet out of the mud of sin or bondage, we start playing in it again for some crazy reason.
Jesus said when the house is swept and clean, and you don't occupy it, spirits worse than what you kicked out will return.
Now that's a loose translation of that verse, but it means you need to learn how to keep yourself healthy spiritually after being delivered from sin in bondage.
To do that, we must maintain a healthy spiritual diet with the word of God, good fellowship, and faithful prayer life.
I encourage you today to keep your hands on the wheel. Let God put his hands over you; he will keep you steady and solid in your journey.

TAKE THAT HEAVENLY WALKABOUT
When I was a teenager, my father purchased 40 acres south of Oregon City and developed a small farm with cows and horses. When you have animals, you need a fence, and this particular fence is electric.
Guess who was called upon to check the fence when it stopped working? You guessed it me. "George, check the fence out; somethings not working," and off I go into the dark. Summer, winter, wind rain, and snow, young George was off to check the fence out around the 40 acres.
By the time I was ready for marriage and time to leave the farm. I knew every square inch of that 40 acres because I did a walkabout 1000 times.
When I was home, Dad bought an extra 5 acres next to the 40 with a barn somewhere in that time. You'd be right if you knew who helped put all the hay up every year into that barn. I tell you, I knew every square inch of that barn because I had surveyed it.
God has given you a kingdom to watch over, survey, and walkabout. It is your job to know every corner, every fence post, and all the cattle in between. You have territory that God has given you rights to rule in. It's time to walk about in it, find out what's out there and begin to use it for the kingdom and the purposes God has given you.

DATES AND TIMES THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Of all the weddings I have performed, we never started on time. They tell me the English have a tradition of always being 10 minutes late to the bride's wedding. However, even though all the weddings I have performed have been a little late in starting, they always happened because the couples kept a date they couldn't miss.
I have had many jobs as a laborer in the workforce. I have an appointment to meet the labor manager for hot carriers and labor union of Portland. I was only 22 but had enough sense and training to show up on time. When I showed up on time, he gave me a date to show up for work. When I showed up for work, I made three times what my brother-in-law made on his job.
I kept the time and date and was rewarded for it abundantly.
What is God saying about you and your spiritual work concerning some times and dates? Is there something that you need to do that has a particular place to be in a time to go there?
The Scriptures Tell us today is the day of salvation. There's never any reason to wait to make those decisions to obey God's purpose in your life. You can do something today about the desires that are in your spirit. If you take a step forward, God will provide the rest of the way you can walk on.

IT'S RESURRECTION DAY-HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DR. GEORGE WATKINS
Today we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, our Savior and lord. As we do, we remember the significance of this great occasion, which brought a conclusion, the old covenant, and ushered in the new covenant.
When Jesus rose from the dead, it sealed the prophecies of old and became proof of what God had promised to mankind, a savior that took away the sins of the world. Just think about the magnitude of that statement; one man could reverse the curse that one man brought to the earth. Adam brought it, and Jesus took it away. That's the foundational story of this great Resurrection Day that we celebrate.
When I had my resurrection day 73 years ago, we were also celebrating the resurrection of Jesus on that same day. As I sat, listening to the story of the resurrection of Jesus with my mother in Brean Chapel, I was not concerned about the whole world needing Jesus, but I knew I needed him. That night, I experienced salvation, or by the description that Jesus gave Nicodemus, "to be born again."
That night the living Christ presented himself as my Savior and the one to cleanse me from my sin nature. I had yet to learn the theological descriptions of what took place. Now I know he moved in to live there permanently. Seven Decades later, he is as faithful and precious as the first day I experienced his love.
That's why I celebrate this day as a "Happy birthday George Watkins."

THE POWER OF THE SEATBELT
The crackle of the loudspeaker comes on, and the captain announces departure. "Ladies and gentlemen, we are preparing for takeoff. Will everyone please take their seat and fasten your seatbelts." Then here comes the seatbelt cops, otherwise known as the stewardess.
After catching a few of those not paying attention, they tell us the plane can only depart once you fasten your seatbelt, sir.
Seeing that I was born long before the seatbelt became mandatory, it took me some time to get used to buckling up. As a matter of fact, all the cars that I have before 1962 are not required seatbelts. We still have fond memories of all five of us in the seat of our 56 Ford F 100 with not a seatbelt around.
Yes, I know that was then this is now, and I'm not totally ignorant of the purpose of the seatbelt. It does save lives.
So today, I am telling you to fasten your seatbelt and prepare for takeoff. And according to the principles of the Scriptures and the kingdom of God, certain things don't take off unless we are united in faith and purpose.
Just like the passenger airplane can only take off once everybody is buckled in, so it is in our journey together; certain things will only happen once we buckle up and prepare for takeoff.
Some of the buckle-up involves prayer meditation in the word, loving one another, cleansing our hearts from unforgiveness, etc.
In this analogy, the seatbelt cop is the Holy Ghost that comes along and reminds us to put our seatbelts on for safety and in preparation for takeoff.
Unfortunately, some of us on this journey have yet to learn why we're on the airplane and are just along for the ride. Thank God the pilot knows where we're going and what it takes to get us there.
The enemy has fired a shot across our bow with intention of taking us down.
The response I am hearing from the body of Christ is a multitude of clicks as the seatbelts are being fastened. We are going into battle with the intention of winning complete victory.

IF SATAN IS DEFEATED, WHERE DO BAD THINGS COME FROM?
After decades of ministry and counseling a multitude of people, the above statement may be the most repetitive one I've heard.
When bad things happen to good people, we scratch our heads and ask how that could happen. The next thing we do is try to figure out who to blame.
For the unlearned ones, they blame God because the church has told them God is in control of everything. When in reality, that is not the case.
How thin is it that those who seem to be doing everything right suddenly have disasters come upon them? Interestingly enough, we see the same question in the life of Jesus when they ask him who sinned that this boy is blind?
The Scriptures tell us that Jesus took all the power away from Satan and gave it to the believer. So how often does Satan take advantage of the believer and bring on such chaos and trouble?
The answer is straightforward compared to the complex system that it represents.
Satan can take advantage of us because he lives in the system and knows how it operates. The system we're talking about is seedtime and harvest, and the Bible tells us it will function until the end of Time.
What seems to be hidden to many people is that everything you do and say is a seed you plant for the future. Jesus said that if you sow to the wind, you will reap a whirlwind. But if you sow to the spirit, you will reap life everlasting.
Matthew 13 tells us that the angels are the reapers of the harvest, which means that both good and bad angels will reap the harvest you plant. The most powerful seed you and I can plant is our words.
The most important thing we can remember about our words as seeds. That what we say will come back to us, good or bad. No wonder David said in the psalms, "guard my mouth, Lord, that I might not sin against you."

THIS COULD BE THE START OF SOMETHING BIG
Among life's foundational principles is that everything starts with a seed. Jesus even referred to our faith as a mustard seed, and he said it was the smallest seed, yet it produced a large tree where the birds of the air could find a place to build a nest.
Everything we do in life starts small, and the outcome depends on our actions from then on. The farmer who plans to seed then needs to water the seed. If he plays by the rules that govern his world, he will have a harvest at the end of the season.
And so it is with our spiritual journey as we develop and mature into sons and daughters of God in this world. Oh, it's true that the moment we receive Jesus, we have the fullness of God and all of the gifts he has given us.
However, like a baby born into this world comes fully equipped to accomplish anything they puts their mind to, they must mature first.
This could start something big if we listen and obey the next step in God's plan for our life.
All of us have had good ideas; we need God's thoughts.
There's certainly no shame in trying new ideas out. But a better way to do it would be to get the mind of God before we start. What's frustration and time that we waste if we don't do that?
The days we are now in are undoubtedly the start of something big in the kingdom of God and for his glory. All we have to do is listen and obey.

TAKE A DEEP BREATH AND BREATHE OUT HIS NAME
The alarm goes off, and you lay there staring at the ceiling, wondering what day it is. Then you let out a moan when you realize you have to go to work again.
The telephone rings, and you ignore it, knowing it's the school again reporting little Johnny's misbehavior. As the phone keeps ringing, you wonder what am I going to do with that son of mine; he just doesn't listen.
And it's 100° in, and you've been stuck in freeway traffic for an hour. The old jalopy finally gave up, and you're sitting beside the road and your phone battery just died.
Mommy, there's a man at the door. He says he's the landlord and wonders where the last month's rent is. He doesn't look very happy.
TAKE A DEEP BREATH AND BREATHE OUT HIS NAME
If your heart is still pumping blood, you must be alive, and if you are, you have already lived through some of life's trials above. If you know about our heavenly father and how spiritual principles function, do what I do when these things press in on you.
Find a quiet Place where you can relax, lean back, put your feet up on something, and rest. Please take a deep breath and breathe out his name. When you do, you'll instantly recognize the changing atmosphere and know you are in his presence.
It's in the presence of the Lord that we find the fullness of joy. Take advantage of this beautiful, spiritual blessing that he has provided, and be free from the world's burdens.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE VS THE MIND OF CHRIST-WHO WILL WIN?
Here they are again shouting in our ears. Are those intellectual elites of the world preaching the gospel? This time the master race will rise on the wings of artificial intelligence. We don't need a god; they say we are our own God, and we rule our lives through technology.
And so it continues the same old message of the antichrist influence, dressed up in a new suit, trying to influence the new generation. Godlessness and human superiority have paraded themselves across history for ages, sticking its finger in the eye of God and saying we will conquer you.
So far, all I see is the defeat of those who have shouted the loudest. As he was dying, one of the Roman emperors named Julian, blood ran down his chest, shook his fist at the sky, and said, " Oh thou Galilean, you have won at last?
The new monster they have released from the closet is called artificial intelligence. They are boasting that this invention of man's mind will eventually take over the mind of man. It will become so intrusive that we will not have to think or even work. It seems our life will be dedicated to pleasure.
Doesn't that sound familiar?
How many societies of the past have disappeared from history because of the pursuit of that devilish idea?
Now is the time for you and me to understand the power of the mind of Christ in the believer. The mind of Christ will never use or concede to the inventions of men and their devilish ideas.
This is our hour to shine as representatives of Christ on earth, reflecting his mind and wisdom amid a crooked and perverse generation.
Could this be what Jesus meant when he said, let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works, and glorify your father, which is in heaven?
