Every world religion that man has ever created has at the core of it a desire to know they are in right standing with God they serve. As far back as history records men have sacrificed themselves in various ways so that they might be received and blessed by their pagan gods. 

Religion in itself is structured to please the rulers of that religion that represent God so that you might be excepted in the group and deemed worthy to belong.

All of this is self works and righteousness by the law. None of these things have anything that will take you into the heart of God the father Jehovah.

The only righteousness and right standing that is real is given to us by faith in Jesus Christ. True righteousness is not earned by any form of works or struggle it has been given as a free gift from our father in heaven because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross.

So I say to you who needs a coat when the sun is out.
