WE HAVE BEEN ADOPTED INTO GOD

 

Have you ever had a dream that you were walking down a dark street alone?

And every house that you look at is dark and lonely. In the dream, you keep walking, looking for someone that would take you in and give you a warm place to stay. Just the mention of that makes me sad. 

The apostle Paul said that we were strangers and aliens cut off from the commonwealth of Israel, yet because of Jesus Christ, we became sons and daughters of God. 

Ephesians 1:4 tells us that in his love, he chose us before the foundations of the world that we should be holy, set apart, and blameless in his sight far above approach.

Again in Galatians 4: 4, Paul speaks of the subject of adoption when he says, 

"but when the proper time had fully come, God sent his son born of a woman born subject to the law to purchase the freedom of those who were subject to the law that we might be adopted and have Sonship conferred upon us be recognized as gods sons.

Let this truth sink into your spirit as you meditate upon these verses tonight.

The power of this truth will revolutionize your faith life and your emotional life.

Because we have been adopted into his family, he has given us all the rights and privileges of sons and daughters. We have total access to the father's treasure house and every other room in his grand heavenly palace.

He tells us that no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.

That's you, and I adopted into the heart and family of God.
