THE REALITY OF LIVING AS A SPIRIT BEING
If there is a phrase that captures the American society and that of the political west is the phrase "living life in the fast lane." Most of us have learned to hit the ground running when we wake in the morning, and we keep that pace until we fall into bed at night. Even those of us who have met Christ and know that we are different people have a difficult time losing the culture we live in.
So when the preacher tells us we are new creatures in Christ, often we say yeah, that sounds good, but I've got to pay for the bills and send the kids to College. So our nose is still at the grindstone, and we have little time to think about who we really are in Christ Jesus.
So let me state clearly as I prepare for this video.
You're not human anymore. I know that's a shock; let's face it, you've been born again by the spirit of God. Think it through for a moment; what does that mean to you?
You and I are new creatures in Christ Jesus, and that new creature is a spirit being sent from God. We have a soul and live in a body. That body and soul are our tickets as a spirit been to function on this earth and do the will of the father.
The term sons of God is not just a catchy phrase we put on a banner; it is the reality of what God has performed in us as people.
So after the smoke settles from the realization of this truth, ask God for revelation on who you are and what your purpose is in life.
Don't worry; you still have to pay the rent, raise the kids, and love your wife or husband; that part doesn't change. But you do all of that out of a different source. A Heavenly one.
