THOUGHTS BETRAY SOURCE; SPIRIT LIFE ATTRACTS SPIRIT THOUGHTS
Take a look around you for a moment. Everything you see close at hand and far away started in somebody's thoughts. From the simplest toy your child may play with to the most complicated technology of our day, someone had a thought.
The jails are filled with men and women because they had thoughts that lead them into crimes. And so it is with our spiritual leaders in all their positions of leadership, and they are there because they had a "God" thought.
The scriptures tell us there are some things we should not waste our thoughts on, such as the provisions our heavenly father promised us. He has already promised them, so don't be frustrated thinking about a plan to get them. Matthew 6:25, then, on the other hand, there are thoughts that we need to take hold of and cast down. We are to bring every thought under Christ to the obedience of his word. ( Second Corinthians 10:5)
You and I are to meditate upon the word day and night. That sounds like an impossibility. Yet Paul told us to pray continually. How is that possible? It's possible because not all our thoughts and prayers come out of our conscious awareness but rather out of our spirit, man.
Remember that our father has made us a spirit just like himself and has given us a soul and body to dwell in. The thoughts that bring life come out of our spirit, not our head or mind. I'm convinced that is where idle words come from out of the empty minds of men when we meditate upon God's word and fellowship him in the spirit that is direct food for the spirit man.
Put a guard on your mind and watch your words change. When your words change, the direction of your life will be altered, and you will see the fulfillment of God's purposes in your life.
