What is God saying to the church today? Well, he's saying quite a bit, but it's really good. In reality, God's message to us never changes even in the different seasons that come our way. When we understand the foundational gift that God has given us through Jesus Christ, we can always walk in trust and faith that he will do good for us.
It's in the midst of stress and trouble when the refreshing of the Lord really is appreciated and received. In the times of ease, Israel forsook the Lord; then, when trouble came, they sought him again.
If there ever was a time of trouble for our nation and the church, it's today. If there ever was a better time to be refreshed, now is the time.
