GOD'S FULL-COURT PRESS

 

My basketball days are long behind me, and most memories of those few times I played have faded. I suppose my height had something to do with not being interested in basketball. Baseball was more my game, and I remember the summer leagues I was in; what fun.

Then came my boys when they played on the basketball team in their school days. I made a lousy fan because I can't stand losing. As long as we were ahead in those games, I was a happy camper. 

So in those days, I learned what a full-court press was. That's when the team all get together in their positions, push down, and make a basket. At least, that's my memory of it.

I woke up in the middle of last night, and God dropped these words in my heart; God's full-court press.

Then the Holy Spirit began to blow revelation on those few words, and I could hear the spirit of God telling me God has a plan for the situation we're in, and we're going to score. 

Big Time.

I'm sure you know God doesn't watch the news to see what he will do next, like some of us. You might say he has his finger on the scale and knows the outcome. 

So encourage yourself in the lord and know that the things you hear from the lips of people with no spiritual source are all empty and foolish. 

Today you need to hear this scripture quoted one more time;

Trust in the lord with all of your heart, lean not unto your understanding in all your ways, acknowledge him, and he will direct your path.

So there you go, it's a done deal.
